Program Description
The course builds your knowledge and skills in managing projects effectively across a wide range of sectors. Our practice-based approach ensures you develop your skills through all-important real-life experience of managing real projects. This approach enables you to use and critically assess your learnt knowledge of project management methodologies, theories, issues, tools and techniques. The Data Analytics units cover a range of relevant topics including programming; databases; security; and computer networking. These units give you both the underpinning theory and the ability to apply it to complex real-world problems. Start when it most suits you, with six entry points through the year; every taught unit is delivered in a six-week block Work on consultancy projects with leading organisations, supported by experienced academics and professors of practice Analyse client requirements in the Project Management Practice unit and manage a real project Work in teams to deliver solutions to project management problems and projects, enhancing your collaborative, interpersonal and leadership skills Learn how project management can incorporate sustainable business solutions Participate in APM events and guest lectures Develop your research and problem-solving skills when you complete your final Capstone project, when you can choose to undertake either a business dissertation or live project
