Program Description
By choosing the Drive Technology profile, students acquire the skills required to develop, design, control, and optimize complex drive systems. This includes the integration of mechanical, electrical, and information technology components to create efficient and precise motion solutions. Upon successful completion, students are qualified for a wide range of tasks in the development, production, and application of drive systems, from electromobility and industrial machinery to energy technology. With good or excellent grades, the Mechatronics degree program with the Drive Technology profile offers them the ideal foundation for a further, in-depth or specialized master's degree program in Drive Technology. Profile-related subjects of the course include electrical drive systems, transmission technology, hydraulic and pneumatic drives, as well as a drive technology project. Graduates can work as specialists in the development, optimization, and implementation of motion systems in a wide range of industries, from the automotive industry and electromobility to mechanical and plant engineering, materials handling and logistics, construction and infrastructure, and even renewable energy and energy technology, robotics, and automation. Fields of activity include research and development, technical sales and consulting, as well as quality assurance and product testing.
