Program Description

The purpose of this programme is to educate nursing students using theory and practice based knowledge, enabling the graduates to achieve Professional registration as a General Adult Nurse. This is a 4 year, full-time programme, with a total of 4600 hours of learning incorporating both theory and practice equally balanced (2300 theory and 2300 practice) (EU/2005/36EC). On completion of the programme graduates will be able to demonstrate and use their practical skills acquired from their studies. They will be able to apply their knowledge, skills and critical thinking to perform to the standards required for employment. The nurse will be able to use evidence based knowledge to improve the care provision for patients and for their own personal and professional development.
