Founded in 1963, the University of Central Florida (UCF) is a public research university located in metropolitan Orlando. It is one of the largest universities spread across the United States covering close to 1,415 acres of land, of which 800 are natural wood and grassland that act as a natural habitat for the dozens of native species belonging to Florida. Apart from its main campus in Orlando, the University of Central Florida has over 10 regional campuses in locations including Ocala, South Lake, and Daytona Beach.
