Program Description

Our MRes Cancer Biology gives you in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of cancer biology. You’ll also explore how new therapies are developed. You'll start the MRes Cancer Biology with taught lectures, tutorials and lab work. You'll then complete an independent laboratory based research project under the supervision of active cancer researchers. Research themes include: Analysis of phytochemicals for cancer treatment Development and characterisation of novel drug delivery systems Potential of aspirin analogues in the treatment of glioma Use of aptamers as diagnostic and therapeutic agents for brain tumours Synthesis of bioactive molecules with anticancer properties
