Program Description
Sharpen your skills and techniques as a stylist under the guidance of industry veteran instructors and learn the ins-and-outs of the workplace—customer service, client booking, effective product sales—in our full-service salon learning environment. Women and men’s haircuts, barbering, colour and chemical texture services—these are the skills employers demand of our Hairstyling graduates and they are the ones you will explore in detail in this program. Apprenticeship Manitoba Level 1 accreditation means students who successfully complete the program and accreditation requirements receive credit toward their apprenticeship path. And participation in MITT’s Bridging to Work workshops ensures you enter the workforce with a strong foundation in the employability and essential skills employers demand. Who it is for Individuals who are passionate about the latest trends in hairstyling, enjoy hands-on work, and thrive on one-on-one interaction with a client to help them achieve—and properly maintain—their desired look.
