Program Description

Globalization challenges us to think in new ways about the issues that affect people and communities both at home and abroad. No matter where life takes you, Laurier's Global Studies program will provide you with the knowledge and skills to live, work and find meaning in our globally interconnected age. As a Global Studies student, you'll explore how globalization challenges us to think in new ways about the relationships between citizens, communities, governments, corporations and other organizations on the world stage. You’ll gain an awareness of crucial issues like food security, human migration and Indigenous rights. You'll also learn how to conduct research and critical analysis to tackle specific problems both around the world and within your local community.
