Program Description

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Law Enforcement Studies enables international students to gain a unique combination of theoretical knowledge and applied skills that prepare them to pursue rewarding careers in Canada, including those in the justice and law enforcement fields. JIBC gives students the opportunity to study at a dynamic campus where public safety professionals train – including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency managers. Together with a cohort of no more than 20 students, each student gets the personalized attention they need from instructors to help them succeed in the program. This is a 60-credit, full-time program for international students consisting of 20 three-credit courses. Students complete all courses face-to-face at the JIBC New Westminster campus over a two-year period. To graduate with the post-baccalaureate diploma within 24 months, students must successfully complete five courses per 14-week semester.
