Program Description

Demand is increasing for new media artists with expertise in business and management. This five-year combined degree bridges the gap between fine arts and management, giving you a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Through new media production and studies, you'll explore the interconnectivity between technology, art, culture and industry. Gain the skills necessary to evolve with emerging technologies in a variety of professional settings. You'll explore, study, and create using a wide range of technologies and techniques with studies in graphic, web and interaction design; 3D modelling; animation; video game design and development; screenwriting; cinema production and studies; and new media theory. Once you've developed a base in creative technology, you'll work toward a management degree majoring in marketing, informational technology, accounting, organizational behaviour, management policy, or human resources management. You have full access to co-operative education, international exchanges, independent and applied studies as well as volunteer opportunities. uLethbridge is the only university in Alberta to offer co-operative education to all majors in the university, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
