Program Description
In the profile-related phases of the program, students acquire a solid understanding of how people and organizations perceive change, how they behave during change processes, and how these processes can be successfully designed and supported. They explore the psychological foundations of change, study theories of change at the individual and organizational level, examine psychological resistance to change, and develop strategies for overcoming it. A key component of the program is the acquisition of methods and tools of change management and project management in the context of change. Upon successful completion of the Business Psychology program with the Change & Transformation Management profile, students are able to diagnose change needs in organizations, design, implement, and document organizational development measures, and analyze, explain, and evaluate them using interpretive and qualitative research methods. Profile-related subjects of the course include work and organizational psychology, learning psychology, learning organizations, consulting and team development, organizational culture, management of transformation processes in organizations, and current topics in change management. Professional opportunities include organizational development and change management in global contexts, HR consulting with a focus on change processes, business coaching and management consulting.
