Program Description

When you embark on our BSc (Hons) Economics programme, you’ll explore how societies might develop and progress their material and psychological wellbeing, with a thorough grounding in the three key elements of economics: Economic theory The fundamentals of microeconomics, including core concepts such as scarcity, marginal analysis, opportunity cost, trade-off and different market structures. Basic concepts in macroeconomics, including models focused on output, employment and unemployment, interest rates and inflation. The impact of human behaviour and choice on wider economic systems. The role of institutions in stabilising the economy during periods of boom and bust.
