Program Description

Through our interdisciplinary BSc (Hons) Computer Science & Business programme, you’ll develop your knowledge of both disciplines, along with an understanding of the way the two interact. Through the business part of the programme, you’ll examine real-life case studies from a range of business types, from small start-ups to global corporations. You’ll gain an understanding of: the different stakeholders business need to engage with, from shareholders to consumers, the government and the wider public the challenges businesses may face, and approaches for achieving their objectives the varying ways of operating and managing different types of organisation the basic principles of financial accounting and reporting, and key financial concepts that underpin business decision-making essential micro- and macroeconomic theories the fundamentals of marketing and its role in global business supply chain management, and key information systems that support business operations how to lead teams, motivate people and harness their unique talents
