Program Description

This specialization focuses on theoretical and political aspects of global responsibility and the development of sustainable value chains. An interdisciplinary approach combines social, political, and sustainability research with concrete initiatives to promote just and sustainable political change. Practical projects and a semester abroad at a partner university deepen international and interdisciplinary exchange. The program focuses on theories and concepts of sustainable development, global justice, and political transformation. Students explore international politics, comparative politics, political philosophy, public policy, and feminist, postcolonial, and intersectional perspectives. The program is complemented by practice-oriented formats such as community and international projects, simulations, a professional internship, and language modules. Professional opportunities range from public administrations, parliaments, and international organizations to foundations, associations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), business and consulting firms, media, educational institutions, and market and opinion research institutes. The forms and fields of work include research, organization, content support in a wide variety of policy areas, administrative processing, project management, public relations, member support, political consulting, strategic consulting for companies, campaign work, sustainability management, political education, data collection, analysis, evaluation, and presentation.
