Program Description

Our educational assistant program prepares you to work with kindergarten to grade 12s. Learn how to work one-on-one and with small groups. Two exceptionalities courses give you tools to work with children with different abilities. Choose electives to enhance your skills. American Sign Language and animal assisted therapy are two of those options. Put what you learn into work experience. Each semester you’ll have 11 weeks of classes then a 4-week practicum. One of those practicums could be out of the country. We offer international practicums every other year.
