Mechanical Engineering Technicians learn to work independently to provide technical support and services in the development, maintenance and testing of machines and equipment that define modern manufacturing. The program focuses on manufacturing with components of robotics and industrial controls.Highlights - Gain marketable skills in a laptop learning environment. Access hands-on experiential learning opportunities in advanced manufacturing and design laboratories. Graduates may enter the workforce directly or enter Niagara College’s Mechanical Engineering Technology (Co-op) program with advanced standing after completing bridging courses. Additional professional certifications/designations are available.
Study and Work in Canada
Full-time undergraduate and post-graduate international students can work anywhere on or off campus without a work permit. The rules around the number of hours a student will be allowed to work may vary based on the country the student chooses to study in. International students are typically able to work up to 20 hours a week.
