Program Description
Are you interested in a career that makes a difference from the ground up? If you are passionate about our planet and concerned about environmental issues such as sustainable food production, weather disasters and climate change, a Bachelor of Science (Agroecology) will open a world of opportunities. This program will teach you about the management and conservation of the world’s natural and agricultural resources. You will learn the many ways agroecologists help protect the environment, from developing environmentally friendly weed, insect and disease controls, to educating and assisting farmers in land and soil conservation, to protecting Canada’s wildlife and water supply. Your studies will focus on the biological and physical components of ecosystems, and how we can achieve economically sustainable agricultural production while conserving resources and maintaining the integrity of our ecosystems.
