Program Description

Learning how to provide professional and specialized dental care to patients in need is what Fanshawe’s Dental Assisting (Levels I and II) program is all about. If you’re ready to start a respected, secure and valuable career in the dental health field, there’s no better way to get the ball rolling than Fanshawe. In less than ten months after starting your dental assistant courses, you’ll become a professional Dental Assistant with a career almost guaranteed. You'll gain amazing experience rotating through specialty practices in the London area. Plus, you'll complete two work placements at general dental offices to ensure that you are prepared to start your career. And our brand-new, state-of-the-art dental clinic is scheduled to open in September 2020! When you graduate, you'll be prepared to successfully complete the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) Exam in order to practice as a Level II Dental Assistant. You'll also be eligible for certification with the Ontario Dental Nurses and Assistants Association (ODAA) and the Canadian Dental Assistants Association CDAA.
