Program Description

Investigate Earth as a professional environmental geoscientist. Understand environmental interactions between geology, biology, and hydrology. Pursue a fulfilling life-long career in Environmental Geoscience by working in remediation, in the mining industry, government, or consulting agencies. Learn how the Earth and life evolved, how industrial development impacts the environment, how the atmosphere interacts with terrestrial and oceanic environments, and help to find solutions for environmental recovery. Take advantage of small class sizes with an open learning environment. Attend national and international field trips, conferences, and geological talks at the Harquail School of Earth Sciences to explore more deeply this field and its impact on the geosphere and its ecosystems. Are you curious about the Earth and its environment, the evolution of life, climate change? Are you interested in remediation in mining? Do you enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, exploring exotic, distant places? Are you passionate about integrating scientific disciplines? If so, Environmental Geoscience is for you!
