Program Description

All the world’s a stage, but there’s no live entertainment without the magic behind the scenes. With this two-year diploma in Theatre Arts – Technical Production, you’ll be the one making the magic happen. You’ll learn a range of disciplines and artistry that allow entertainers to shine and the audience to lose themselves in the performance. You’ll learn lighting, sound, carpentry, scenic painting, rigging and special effects, as well as design. You’ll study in downtown London, honing the skills you’ll need to enter the live entertainment industry. You’ll combine technology and project management and emerge with the skills needed to work with theatre and production companies across the globe as backstage technical support or as a team member in independent productions. You might work with live music performers or with product demonstrations, in film and television or on the web.
