Program Description

This eight-month graduate certificate program prepares Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses with additional knowledge and skills to competently care for individuals and their families experiencing cardiovascular illness. The combined theory and clinical courses will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and judgment to practice safely in an acute coronary care setting. This is a specialized and highly skilled area of nursing that requires knowledge of advanced training and clinical expertise. You will learn about care from ER to ICU, to Cardiac Cath Lab to advanced diagnostic techniques.
