Program Description

As a Social Service Worker, you assist clients in dealing with personal and social problems by delivering counselling, community services and social support programs. Highlights : Over 650 hours of practical field placement experience, supported by a field placement officer and often leading to employment. Hands-on experiential learning through case studies, video simulations and small group discussions. Program responds to changes in the social services field using an anti-oppressive approach. Unique bridge opportunities to a Bachelor’s Degree through universities in Canada, USA and Ireland. Certification in non-violent crisis intervention is available.
