Program Description

The Software Developer graduate acquires the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to qualify for career opportunities as a Junior Full-Stack Software Developer. Students complete practical, hands-on projects that emphasize quantitative reasoning, analysis and problem solving, technical writing and communications, and disciplined development of modern front-end and back-end software systems. Students should expect to work collaboratively on project-based assignments. The program includes an eight-week work practicum and participation in MITT’s Work Skills Series workshops which provides students a solid foundation in the employability and essential skills employers demand. Graduates are provided access to the GitHub platform where they can further develop their professional presence. Note: The Software Developer program is continuously updated to reflect current technologies and trends in the industry. Course offerings, content, and order are subject to change. Who it is for: Individuals who are highly motivated, have an aptitude for logical reasoning and problem-solving, and who desire a career working in technology—either independently or as part of a team. Students who are interested in this profession should also be patient, prepared to work long hours, and enjoy a collaborative work environment.
