Program Description

Biochemistry is the study of the chemical composition, activity and constituents of living systems. The Bachelor of Science - Biochemistry degree program provides students with an interdisciplinary program offerings, combining two scientific disciplines. Both Microbiology and Chemistry share in the teaching and administration of the program. The program ranges in length depending on the option the student pursues, ranging from 3-5 years in length, with the opportunity to participate in co-operative education. The Honours and cooperative work-study (co-op) programs provide experience in government, private sector and research laboratories.
