Program Description

The Bachelor of Law Enforcement Studies (BLES) provides expanded opportunities in the study of law enforcement and public safety that will position each graduate to be a sought-after candidate in a highly competitive recruiting environment. JIBC's educational program prepares students for success by developing their leadership skills, enhancing their inter-personal communications, critical thinking, and ethical decision making. The Bachelor of Law Enforcement Studies will provide students with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian criminal justice system, contemporary criminal justice issues, criminological explanations of crime as well as analysis and reasoning skills informed by theory and research. This comprehensive education program will prepare each student to contribute within a variety of criminal justice and public safety professions.
