Program Description
he University of Saskatchewan offers a direct-entry four-year program in Agriculture & Bioresources, leading to a number of different degree options. You can take your first year at Cumberland College. Programs are focused on five themes: Plants and Animals - the sustainable management, production, and genetic improvement of agricultural and domesticated plants and animals; Food, Feed and Bioproducts - the use of renewable resources to provide safe and accessible food, sustainable sources of nutrients, pharmaceuticals and fuels; Soil, Environment and Ecology - protecting renewable resources and the environment through responsible management and conservation of the world’s soil, water and ecosystems; Agribusiness and Applied Economics - management, entrepreneurship, policy and economics relating to agricultural and bioresources; and Kanawayihetaytan Askiy - "Let Us Take Care of the Land"
Study and Work in Canada
Full-time undergraduate and post-graduate international students can work anywhere on or off campus without a work permit. The rules around the number of hours a student will be allowed to work may vary based on the country the student chooses to study in. International students are typically able to work up to 20 hours a week.
