Program Description

How does the brain work? How does the brain determine behavior? What happens when the brain is injured? Neuroscience is a sub-field of psychology that examines these questions and many others. Research in neuroscience is one of the fastest growing areas of psychology. We now have new techniques to measure brain activity, such as neuroimaging, which gives us insight into the brain we’ve never had before. When you enroll in the Neuroscience specialization at UNB, you will stay at the cutting edge of psychology. The Neuroscience specialization is available as part of your major or honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. You can also get training in Neuroscience through the major or honours Bachelor of Science degree.

Study and Work in Canada

Full-time undergraduate and post-graduate international students can work anywhere on or off campus without a work permit. The rules around the number of hours a student will be allowed to work may vary based on the country the student chooses to study in. International students are typically able to work up to 20 hours a week.
